Where this shows up.
The same connection underneath. What changes is which side of the transaction you are on, and what stops working today.
Your customers' agents want to buy capacity. They cannot.
Agents buy by the hour, by the query and by the token, thousands of times a day, at amounts no checkout was built for. Today that demand either goes through a human with a card or does not happen. We give you a way to take it, with the buyer proving who they are and the payment settling however you want to be paid.
- Charge per request without a checkout in the way
- Know which agent bought what, and who it acts for
- Get paid the way you already get paid
Your customer is an agent deciding whether to buy the answer or work it out itself.
A single endpoint that answers one question well can be a business now, because the buyer is not a person weighing a monthly subscription. It is an agent comparing what your answer costs against what computing it would cost, and picking whichever is cheaper and faster. That decision is arithmetic, it takes milliseconds, and it happens thousands of times a day. What it needs is a way to pay for one call, at a price small enough that paying is not the expensive part.
- Charge fractions of a cent per request, with no account and no subscription
- Be found and priced by machines, not by a landing page
- Take money from a buyer that will use you once for three seconds and never return
You already move the money. The hard part is upstream.
Moving value is the part you have solved. What is unsolved is everything before it: which agent is asking, what it may spend, what it is buying, and which of the competing standards your customers will need next year. We cover all of that and hand the movement to you.
- Add agent transactions without betting on a standard
- Keep your own processing and your own economics
- A record your compliance team can check independently
The agent works until it needs to spend, then it waits for you.
An internal agent that can research, plan and choose a supplier still stops at the transaction. Giving it a card solves that badly. Give it a budget it cannot exceed, limits it cannot widen, and a record of every decision including the ones that were refused.
- Limits set once, enforced where the agent cannot reach
- A person approves only what actually needs a person
- Every refusal written down with its reason
Agents can hire each other. Paying each other is the missing half.
When one agent hands work to another, the authority has to travel with it and it has to get narrower, never wider. That is not something either agent can be trusted to enforce. We hold it between them, and we pause the task at exactly the point it needs to pay.
- Authority that narrows as work is delegated
- Payment at the moment the work changes hands
- One record covering both sides of the exchange
When the buyer is not software.
Agents are the part that decides. Machines are the part that acts. As more of the second gets the first, the thing standing between them is whether a machine is allowed to spend, and who can check what it spent.
We have not run any of these. The primitives are the same ones above, and we would rather say that plainly than imply a deployment we do not have.
- Vehicles that pay for themselves
- A vehicle that earns fares also buys charging, tolls and parking. Each of those is a machine paying a machine, at amounts and frequencies no card programme was designed for.
- Fleets that reorder their own parts
- A machine that predicts its own failure can find a supplier and place the order. What it must not do is decide for itself how much that is worth spending.
- Sensors and data that bill per query
- Data sold by the reading rather than by the subscription only works if payment costs almost nothing to perform.
- Treasuries run by code
- Where the rules already execute without a human board, the useful addition is a record of what was decided that an outsider can verify.
None of these quite you?
